2/13/10 DoubleDash Message #3402   The incestuousness, conflicts of interest, and self serving behavior in connection with Josh's disapperance is breathtaking -- and pretty textbook for an "old boy" kind of town. You do this for me, I do this for you, and we all get paid and to hell with everyone else -- that's how it works. Apparently St. John's is the bread and butter for many of the people who could and should be helping to find out what happened to Josh. So they don't have any motivation or desire to get to the bottom of what happened to him. That's why this case will have to be tackled from the outside in, because the people currently in positions of power have no vested interest to do the right thing -- to get involved -- to care. But they have reason to deny, deflect, deceive, detract and gaslight people who are trying to get answers. As I've said before, though -- the beautiful thing about the truth is that it never changes, it's real, and no matter how they try to spin it, hide it, deny it, dispell it -- they can't change it. Everyone who reads this board and cares about solving Josh's case must become an independent advocate for Joshua and his family. Each of us must become an activist -- seekers of the truth, because you can see that those in positions of authority who could do something help absolutely will not. And it's clear that what he wants is for all of us to go away. Apparently it's all about him, and his having the power, and him being able to do just exactly what he wants, for whoever he wants, when he wants, with no concern for people in need. How utterly tragic. That's really a shame -- to have someone in that position of authority who has such a conflict of interest when it comes to St. John's. What's it going to take, I wonder, for people who should be looking for answers to actually do their job and help victims and their families? Must every decision be based upon money and power? Who can we turn to for honesty and truth, for help, for involvement and dedication to getting justice for Joshua? Let's keep pushing. I'm waiting for others to step up and share information/experiences that might help finally resolve this case. To anyone out there who has been afraid to speak up, remember that seven long years have passed. Don't you think Joshua deserves better than just being forgotten by his friends and community? Let's get this done, let's bring all the information forward and let the truth stand on its own. Time to stop being afraid. Carrie, myself and many others are here to support you. It's time for justice for Joshua.
