"Josh~ ... I heard they were going to search stumpf lake again yesterday. I read today that nothing turned up like the other times they have searched it. I just hope and pray that they find you, but I don't want them to find you in there......We all want you home, safe and sound! God Bless your family.....they have been through so much and we all need some closure. We all love and miss you. You don't realize what someone means to you until you can't tell them. We were never best friends, but we always had something nice to say to eachother or to talk about. The blanket you and Katie made for Scott and me for our wedding is so awesome. Every time I use it laying on the couch, I think of the two of you. I know you told me you only tied one little knot in it, but we love it! Katie......we are here for anything you need! Come home soon Josh!" |

When I first heard of Joshua's disappearence, I thought about my co-worker Bob and thought ''Guimond'' is not a very common name. And how I just wanted to ask Bob but didnt have the heart...just incase...Now that I know thru the CWA paper. My heart goes out to you and your family and I hope for a safe return for Joshua. Josh, Trying to find you sure isn't easy. It is very hard to know what to do and who you can trust to actually help in the search. It makes me think of politics, everyone has their own agenda. There should only be one and that is to find you and get you home. I miss you every minute of everyday. I wish this whole nightmare was over. I love you. Mom |

I'm a senior at St. John's and largely regret not knowing you Josh, as reading the messages posted here convince me that you're a true Johnnie. Thinking about the incredible pain that your loved ones have suffered over the past several months have really put things in perspective for me tonight....my research paper simply doesn't seem that important anymore. Reading these posts makes me want to cry - I pour my heart out to all those who have shed tears. Josh - I pray that you come home safely man. I also pray for your family and friends. Keep hope alive everyone. |

You are in our thoughts daily. You know how much your aunt and I love you. We cannot wait until the day we see you again. Thanks to you, we don't take any of our nieces and nephews for granted. I missed the KQ interview yesterday morning. However, I have been following Josh's disappearance and search progress from the beginning through the Maple Lake Messenger, as well as StarTribune and asking about him to his fellow classmates and friends at MLHS. As KQ was interviewing Josh's Dad on Thursday morning, KDWB was playing a recorded conversation that Laci Peterson's dad had with Psychic Gary Spivey. Their reading took place in March and Gary was right-on with all of his messages. I know you have done searches with Hoover, and possibly used psychics also (unless that was Chris Jenkins family?). My heart goes out to Josh's family and his many friends. I wish you the best of luck in your search for Joshua. I know you will have a great time when he returns home safely! Hope is alive!!!! |

I get frustrated when we watch the news and people such as Laci Peterson ( I am so happy for her family that she has been found) seem to get help so easily. Sometimes it still doesn't seem real, even though we are approaching six months. I still keep hope for you to come home safely. "Josh- ... I remember that smile from when we used to work at Buffalo Target together! I remember how you helped me get trained in, and how patient you were. If you were finished first, you came over to where I was and helped me out - even though you had the longest drive back out to Maple Lake. I remember when we were finally finished after a late night, we would all get together at Perkins and chat. I left for college to go PSEO, and finished early with a computer science degree and landed my dream job. I heard your dad on the radio this morning - his voice, and his words, broke my heart. You need to come back, and warm everyone with your smile, and win them over with your charm and intellect. Please come back to finish your dreams of helping people. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family, you are really a standard a person should live up to. Oh, and one more thing - thanks." |

And we will continue to pester law enforcement until they start doing their job. If you were here, you'd be saying, ''Where the hell is the democratic accountability?'' And I, of course, would be concurring wholeheartedly. We'll continue to do everything we need to do, though, until you come home. We're now ''celebrating'' another holiday, another time of the year that is supposed to be joyful. But nothing is the same without you. Come home soon, Josh! I miss you so much. ... Nick" |

Josh, you know me. I am rallying the mock trial community. I am rallying the mock trial alumni. I have let them know that Josh Guimond better answer the role call of captains in April of '04 or else! Feel free to call my office around the clock: (262)542-3371. A call might be worth a discretionary bid to DM. I wouldn't risk the qualifier route for a captain I need. |

"Like Katie said, we were in Des Moines for Nationals last weekend. We have a wonderful team, Josh, and if you would have seen us, you would have been proud. I poured every ounce of my being into preparations for and competition in that tournament. I just couldn't let you down. Even though our record wasn't stellar (3-5), our performance was. This is a team I absolutely love, and you would have too with the opportunity. ... But things are so different without you. You are such an integral part of the mock trial program and of the lives of so many people that I can't even begin to comprehend it. It's so obvious, because even when you aren't the topic of conversation, your name comes up in so many of the stories people tell. You've touched many lives so quickly in your life, and once you come home, I know you'll keep it up. ... I'm sure I'll write more later, but for now know how much I love you and miss you.
