9/21/03 Anonymous Message #1417
The "wall of silence" by SJU needs to be confronted. Surely one of the big media outfits would be interested in pursuing a deeper investigation. I don't think they would be as intimidated as others who have sought answers about Josh's disappearance. Guess I'll start with Bill O'Reilly on Fox News and go from there. This isn't about politics or religion, it's about finding the truth. Lord, please shine Your Light of Truth where there is darkness, and help all those who care to find Josh soon. In Jesus' Holy Name we pray, Amen.

9/21/03 anonymous Message #1416
I agree with Josh's mom--sounds like an INSIDE job. Unlikely a random act. St. John's has too much at stake to pursue this--like their "precious" football team--we can always HOPE they come around.

9/20/03 Anonymous Message #1415
"Josh, I am praying someone will become brave enough to demand answers. It is not acceptable, in my opinion, the way your disappearance has been handled. I wish I lived closer so I could ask SJU and the police questions myself. Perhaps Fox News Network and other media venues might be willing to do some further investigating. I do not want your name to be forgotten; you do not deserve to be forgotten, and your family does not deserve to suffer. No family deserves this ... so I don't understand why the authorities are not doing more to get answers. SJU has not been sufficiently forthcoming, in my opinion, with information about this case. God bless Josh Guimond and his family and friends, may the Lord bring comfort to them in their dark hours -- and may truth prevail. Please embolden all who love and care about Josh to seek the truth. In Jesus' Name we pray ... Amen"

9/16/03 Uncle Paul & Aunt Lin Message #1414
"Hey Josh, ... Just a quick note to let you know how much your aunt and I miss you. While Tony and Jess's wedding was a beautiful and happy event, it was painfully obvious you were missing. There was not a person in the family that wasn't thinking of you. Jess and Tony had flowers on the alter for you, and you were mentioned in the program. We miss you Josh. We love you and will never stop looking. Keep the faith. Love, Uncle Paul and Aunt Lin."

9/16/03 Marie Hire Message #1413
"The website looks great and I am glad that you published the letter to Josh on his birthday. I also liked that you took that other letter off of this. His pictures look wonderful on the homepage also. Hang in there, one day we will get all the answers we need and the person(s) out there that know something about Josh, if you have half a heart you would come forward.I love you guys and am always thinking about you. ... Your cousin, Marie"

9/14/03 Jude Message #1412
"I came across your site today while updating on Josh. I am happy to see his friends have done this. We have had Josh on Child Seek since he went missing. If you would like to place any info there on him, please feel free. We send our hopes that Josh will be home soon. ... If we can help, please let us know. ... I am placing your link on our site. ... Child Seek Network"

9/12/03 Anonymous Message #1411
I'm surprised friends and concerned citizens haven't banded together yet to protest the apprehensive response of SJU to this investigation. It seems SJU staff were cooperative as long as police didn't want to get inside their "cloistered" walls. If a student suddenly went missing around here, fellow students would not stand for anything less than 110%+ cooperation from college officials. I cannot believe more people are not outraged at the less than forthcoming way SJU has dealt with Josh's disappearance. It seems someone on that campus undoubtedly knows something and perhaps is fearful of coming forward. All who are concerned about Josh, for his sake and the sake of his family, don't be intimidated, keep demanding answers. Help bring closure for this suffering family. Lord, please bring light where there is darkness, and abundant wisdom and insight to those who are stepping up to the challenge of finding out what happened to Josh. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

9/10/03 Lindsay Benson Message #1410
Wow Josh! I don't really know what to say. There is so much I have to tell you, and I don't know where to begin. Today is 10 months you've been gone. It's like every time another month passes it gets harder and harder to deal with. I wish I could do more to help bring you back, but I'm at a road block. I wish I was there with every body looking for you. I know that if it were anyone else, you wouldn't give up. Your brains would come up with something for us to do. I want you to know that my friends here are praying for you to come home safe! I started playing basketball last week. I wish you could see me play just one game. I wanna hear you yell at the refs. again! The day can't come soon enough for everyone to see you again! Kate is doing good, but she needs her side kick (that's you) with her. We all need you, and we'll do whatever it takes to bring you back! You were like a brother to me all these years, and I'm not going to lose you now! Love you, Lindsay

9/10/03 Mom Message #1409
Josh, I haven't written in awhile. Sometimes I don't know what to say and other times I can't say what I want. As usual Stearns County has nothing new to report. You really have to wonder if they are doing anything at all. The county attorney says they don't need to tell us anything. Her husband happens to work at St. John's. Seems like a conflict of interest to me. They won't question the resticted priests because they will have they're lawyers present and won't say anything. I think they should have question everyone that was on the campus that weekend. I love and miss you. I pray everyday we will find you. God Bless.

9/9/03 Anonymous Message #1408
From the research I've done, I didn't get the impression at all that the officials of SJU were 100% cooperative in this case. In fact, in the beginning of the search, did the monastery not refuse to allow police to search the premises? How come? A young man's life might have been at stake. What's it gonna take for someone to find the courage to tell what they know? May the Lord give that person(s) the strength of spirit to do the right thing. Imagine if this was someone you loved who had suddenly gone missing, you would want someone to help you, right? Please help bring an end to the nightmare this family daily faces. Dear Lord, please bless the Guimond family, comfort them during these anguished hours, and bring resolution to this heartbreaking case soon. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

9/9/03 Katie Message #1407
Hey Josh...I saw something today on campus that made me laugh, and I instantly thought of you because you are the only person in the world who would have also thought it was funny. I miss that a lot. I miss you a lot. I hope and pray that you will come home soon. I love you.

9/8/03 Anonymous Message #1406
I am fully confident that staff and student body are just as committed to finding Josh as the rest of the community is. As a recent SJU grad I only pray and hope that Josh will be found soon. My thoughts go out Josh’s family and friends who have searched diligently for him this past 10 months.

9/7/03 Mike Message #1405
"I am a student at SJU. I agree with the above posters--I think some students or faculty here are too tight lipped and they probably know something but are afraid to ''rat'' on their peers. ... Thank you for this web site as it appears that most people at SJU would rather forget about the whole thing rather than try to solve it! ... Let's hope Josh is found soon!"

9/4/03 Anonymous Message #1404
"I stand by my opinion. I think it is obvious ''someone'' on that campus knows what happened to Josh. What will it take for that person or persons to come clean and tell what they know? I'm praying for justice in this case and I will continue praying until the family gets some answers ... "

9/3/03 Steve Message #1403
Lindsey I am simply echoing what others have said (see 8-26-03 posting). Someone on that campus knows what happened and I HOPE and PRAY they come forward. Don't be so defensive!!

8/31/03 Lindsay Benson Message #1402
I think that if any of Joshs friends knew anything about what happened they would have come forward. If people knew anything about Josh or his friends they would know that we would do anything to bring him back to us! The goal of this web site is so that people can learn more about Josh, and offer words of encouragement. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all!

8/30/03 Steve Message #1401
Sounds to me like some of the students with him that night were either so drunk on alchol or are covering something up! Lets HOPE someone confesses!

8/29/03 sara Message #1400
I did not know Josh but I have spent most every weekend for the past 2 years at SJU where my brother and boyfriend go to school. The night Josh disapeared, I was at SJU and was in the area. Every time I am on campus I think of him and wonder what happened and if I would have been a little closer to where he was that night, that I could have helped or could have seen something. I pray for you and your family Josh. Never give up! You are in my heart for ever.

8/27/03 Erin Message #1399
"I haven't written to this message board since it became available because it seemed to real. But what was more real was the several times this day that I was struck motionless by reminders of you. On this, our ''last'' first day of school, I saw your face on yet another poster outside the bookstore... where you should have been to greet me with a ''wwhhaat's happening?'' A walk through Sexton presented me with pictures on the walls of you - a couple of which I took and have in scrap books. While reviewing my Instant Messanger lists, your name popped up with the realization I could use it no longer. I hear questions from the new freshman on the link... and I just want to turn and tell them all about you. I want to share with them what an amazing spirit you have, what passion you hold and what drive and determination you exhibit. You were meant to change the world Josh - I pray every chance I get that you get that chance. God Bless and keep you wherever you are. ... Love, Erin"

8/27/03 Marie Hire Message #1398
"Well we finally made it to Minnesota and loved every bit of it,but a huge part of the family was missing-Josh. We went to the college with Paul and saw where Josh was coming from that very night and where he was supposed to be heading. It is a creepy place there and the minute we exited the freeway and I caught glimps of the bell tower high above the trees, my whole heart fell to my stomach. I did not like it there because I know something very terrible happened and just want to know why. ... Our cousin Tony is happily married and his bride, Jess was beautiful. I had a great time meeting family I never had and hanging out, but just wish Josh could of been there. ... Well some of my questions are answered, more put into reality, but the big question still lives on---WHERE IS JOSHUA??????? Someone knows something and someday that very person will get his/hers. ... Love always, ... Marie"

8/26/03 Anonymous Message #1397
"If I was a wealthy person, I would hire a private detective with an excellent reputation to go and thoroughly check out that university -- something is not adding up here, obviously someone has to know something -- and the trail seems to start and stop right on that campus ... It is just so frustrating to see this family in such pain and anguish, because someone won't do the right thing and speak up. Lord, please shine Thy Light of Truth and guide all those who love Josh to find him, wherever he may be, in Jesus Holy Name I pray, Amen."

8/23/03 Hannah Message #1396
Well Josh it's now 1:15 on the morning that I will be moving back up to St. Ben's. I most certainly have mixed feelings about leaving home. I'm anxious to get back to the college surroundings but not so much excited to start studying again. It makes me sad to know that we will be starting school without you. Things just won't be the same. I went up to St. John's on wednesday to buy my books, and the reality of knowing you won't be there on the first day really hit hard. I remember all the Johnny football games we would go to where you guys would be so kind to give your blankets to us girls who were freezing from the rain. I pray everyday for you safe return and that someday we will again be able to share all the fun memories college has to offer with you. Keep Hope Alive. Hannah

8/23/03 An old co-worker Message #1395
My boyfriend is a St. John's alumni and we visit St. John's every once in a while. I used to work with Josh at Target a couple of years back. I remember being at St. John's once and we said hi as he was walking with his friends. The last time visiting there was so hard, seeing the flyers and posters everywhere. And being in the place where I last saw him/talked to him. I pray about his safe return everyday. I can't imagine what the family is going through.

8/21/03 Katie Message #1393
Josh...The state fair starts today. For the last five years, you and I have gone to the fair together. My favorite, of course, if the Martha's cookies and visiting the milk truck. Your favorite activities definately have nothing to do with food, although you did love the deep fried candy bar! Thinking about you visiting every car dealer and politian on the fair grounds makes me miss you more than ever. I still wonder if you only brought me along to carry your stuff while you talked at every booth! I love watching you get excited over sitting in the new Lincoln and talking about which ones you'll own someday. I'm not going to the State Fair this year because it will make me miss you too much. I've never been there without you. I wish more than anything, that you would come home. I miss you, Josh. I hope I can see you soon. I love you so much. Love, Kate

8/19/03 Uncle Paul & Aunt Lin Message #1392
Hey Josh, it's been a while since I left a message, but I wanted you to know we are excited to be coming to MN for Tony's wedding. As excited as we are though, we have a very large hole in our hearts. The part that is missing is the physical you. The spiritual you is always with us, but we pray we can be with the physical you soon. I know I have said this before, but I really want you to know we will never give up. Marie, Marc, the kids, and your aunt and I will be going to St. John's this week. They have never been there and we all want to go there to be closer to you. Always remember we love and miss you. Love, Uncle Paul & Aunt Lin

8/19/03 Dee Message #1391
"I just wanted to say, my thoughts and prayers are with you Josh and your family. I am praying for a safe return. Lord please place Joshua in your arms and bring him back to his family safely. ... I don't know the family...but wanted to let you know we are thinking of you all! ... Peace to all!"

8/18/03 Cindy Message #1390
Josh, I mostly know you through your mom. You and I met a few times at our work. You used to come in on weekends and help us. I remember what a great smile you had and were growing so tall. (You must have been around 15) Your mom was always so proud of you and the fact that you had so much going for you. I saw her a couple of months before you disappeared and like before she was so proud of you and the great things you were doing with your life. Her face lights up everytime she can brag about you. My family and I will continue to pray for your safe return!

8/18/03 A Johnny mom Message #1389
Although I never met Josh I can tell be the comments written by his friends and family he is a great guy. My heart goes out to his family and we pray that the answers that are desperately needed will come soon. I also hope that anyone who has any information no matter how insignicant it may seem would come forward. As we get ready to send our son back to St. John's we pray for the safety and well being of all the young men there and some resolution to Josh's disappearance.

8/18/03 a Johnny alum Message #1388
My deepest and heartfelt sympathies. I still believe in miracles, even in our day and age. If it is God's will please return Joshua to his family. I offer what little I can - a simple prayer to St. Josemaria on Joshua's behalf. God bless.

8/17/03 Marie Message #1387

Hey Josh- It's almost time for me to head back up to Concordia again. It's so weird, this summer has gone by so fast. The fireworks that you bought last year are still in the garage waiting for you to use. Last summer was so much fun. I just want you to remember that no matter where I am, I'm always thinking of you, and waiting to see you again! Take care buddy! Love ya -Lindsay

8/15/03 Mom Message #1383
Josh, It is that time when you would start getting ready to start your senior year of college. So much time has gone by and we still don't know anything. It is very hard for me to believe someone on that campus doesn't know what happened, or at least has some info that would help us. I am still upset over the fact that your friends did not tell me when I called that afternoon or when they called your Dad later that night. If they were worried why didn't they say something. The sooner we knew, the sooner we could have started looking. I love you Josh and will look until you are found. Love Mom

8/10/03 Anonymous Message #1382

8/7/03 Tiffany Message #1381
Josh- I still think about you all the time and how I always used to say you will be my lawyer someday. I miss your humor, your Office Space sayings and how everyone's faces would light up in your presence. Hope is still alive and I continually pray for you. Tiffany

8/7/03 Mom Message #1380
Josh, I really miss you. I wish we could find you or at least figure out what happened. Tony's wedding is soon and alot of family will be here. We think of you everyday and pray that we will find you soon. Somedays are really hard but we know we can't give up and will continue to look until we bring you home or have the answers we need. Love always, Mom

8/6/03 Marie Hire Message #1379
"Soon we will be coming to minnesota for Tony's wedding and of course everyone wishes like no other that Josh could be there. He is always in my thoughts and prayers. We will finally get to see where this horrible nightmare started and have atleast my thoughts brought to reality. It has been hard being so far away and wondering all sorts of things, but soon we will see. One day this will all come to an end and I hope soon. ... Love always, Cousin Marie"

8/1/03 Anonymous Message #1376
What a handsome young man -- my Lord, what happened to him, people don't just disappear. Lord in heaven, please bring answers and justice in this case, and keep Your loving hand upon Josh and his family. Please shine Your light into the darkness, so that the truth of what happened to Josh can be known. In Jesus' Name I pray, amen.

8/1/03 Rick C. Message #1375
"Seems like just yesterday, Brian and Lisa were striking out with Josh to start a new life. There wasn't much to do in our rural community and they thought things would be better in a different area. We lost touch after a few years but Marge kept us informed of the family's progress. Josh has always been the shining light, posessing the very best attributes of his Mother and Father. We share the pain of Josh's absence and hope for his safe return. We pray for all of you each day. God's Speed. :-) ... "

7/29/03 Nick Message #1371
Hey Josh. The summer is beginning to wind down; only a few weeks remain until school starts again. I hope you're back before then, because I know you won't want to miss even more school. Things haven't been the same without you, and they never will be until you come home.

7/29/03 Marie Hire Message #1370

7/28/03 Mom Message #1369
Josh, It is just about August and we are still looking. We don't hear much if anything from law enforcement. They really aren't doing much. If we were well known or had alot of money maybe there would be more effort on they're part. But don't worry Josh, your Dad and I are still at it. Just about everyone in the family will be at Tony and Jessy's wedding. Hopefully we will find you and you will be there also. Everyday I hope that will be the day we bring you home. Love always. Mom

7/27/03 Paul Message #1368
I used to go to St. John's, but unfortunately never knew you Josh. You are a lucky guy to have such a wonderful circle of family and friends. Just know that there are thousands of people out there Josh, like me, that never knew you, but that are thinking of you and praying for your safe return. God bless.

7/22/03 Lizzy Message #1367

A lot of people miss you and can't wait until you come home. Love ya** Lizzy!

7/22/03 Katie Message #1366
Josh...every night right before I got to bed I think about you. It seems like the whole world is asleep, and I it becomes my time alone with you. I wonder where you are, what happened to you, and why you. It helps me to relive the millions of memories we've create together through the past five years. It helps me remember you, and it gives me courage. It gets harder to write you on this site the longer you've been gone. I don't know why...maybe because it becomes more real each day or maybe because I try and seal off the hurt a little more everyday or maybe because I miss so much. I hope you are safe, and I hope you know how much I love you. I am grateful for the time we had together and the ways you changed my life. I love you, Josh. I miss you more than I thought was possible. Your family is so strong, but they need you. I need you too. I hope you come home soon. Love, Kate

7/18/03 Mr. White Message #1362
Josh- I've been thinking about you a lot lately. You have been the center of many a heated debate the past few weeks as me and my cohorts argue over what exactly happened that November night. Tanya sends her thoughts and prayers too, she talks about you a lot and I guess she helps keep it fresh on my mind. I've gone over a thousand scenarios in my mind, each one with it's own ambiguity and 'loop-hole'. I pray you come home, I can't imagine what your parents are going through. God bless and keep you.
