12/4/03 Anonymous Message #1527
"Hmm..i dont see why anyone would do anything like this to a person. It has to be done because of hate. There must be someone who knows where Josh is, there has to be someone. The only reason for not saying anything is fear and/or guilt. I hope who ever has done this will suffer until they speak out. Please if you know anything just say it! You can stay anonymous if you're scared. Josh and his family will always stay in my prayers... ... -NM- from MI"

11/22/03 Vance Holmes Message #1518
"I am so very sorry. There's no way I could understand what you're going through but please know that I and many, many people care very much. ... I agree. ''...every instinct tells me this is foul play...'' ... On November 13th, the body of Matthew Schiess of Lena IL, was found in the Pecatonica River, about one-quarter mile north of the site of a party where he was last seen on Halloween night. ... Is anyone keeping track of this? Is anyone coordinating the data? There is foul play and it has to stop. ... "

11/16/03 Anonymous Message #1513
Lord, I pray You would hold Joshua in Your arms, wherever he may be. I also pray you would surround his family with care and put You hand of mercy upon them. And, I pray that the person or people who have knowledge about what happened to Joshua would find the inner strength to come forward. I am praying for you to do what you know is the right thing to do. I pray the Lord will give you the courage you will need. In Jesus' Name I ask this, Amen.

11/14/03 Jan Jenkins Message #1512
"It has been one year since our son, Chris Jenkins, and Josh Guimond disappeared. As I read again about Josh on this web site, every instinct tells me this is foul play. High-performing, fun-loving, intelligent young adult males don't just disappear. There is evil at work here and those involved will be held accountable, if not in this world, then in the next. I also believe people in Mpls. and St. John's have information. Anyone holding back information will also pay for their cruelty. ... We only hope and pray that by some miracle, Josh comes back unharmed. Chris wasn't that lucky. He was found in the Mississippi River in a condition that smacks of foul play. This has been verified by engineering and forestry experts at the U of MN. ... To all of you who love Josh, don't ever quit looking, hoping and praying. Josh & Chris wouldn't have given up on any of us. Stay strong, committed and hopeful."

11/10/03 Bob Message #1511
Dear God, please comfort and strengthen Josh's family and friends, please guide those who are working on the case, and please, please bring Josh safely home soon. In Jesus' name. Amen.

11/10/03 Joachim Wolber Message #1510
Dear Brian, it's quite a long time I've had contact to you and I didn't have any e-Mail adress of you. So I tried the Web. I can't discribe how I felt the moment, when I read about those things that happened in the last twelve months and I still don't know what to say. I've seen Josh only for a short time, I think it was 1995, so I don't know a lot about his personallity. But one thing I learnd that time I worked together with you landcaping around Minneapolis, he must be a great guy. I remember how proud you've been talking about Josh. Well, it's 10 years ago and now I'm a father as well. No one should ever be in a situation like this and I send you the best wishes and hope that everything turns out to be all right. you can alway contact me if you like. The same goes out to Lisa. I've seen how much people care for you and for Josh and I hope it helps to come through all this. Your "old" friend from Germany Joachim

11/10/03 Anonymous Message #1509
The one year "anniversary" of Josh's disappearance has now been marked. Who is going to be brave enough to step forward and help justice be served ... who has the courage and belief in truth to stand up and speak your mind? I believe in you and I am praying for you. The time is now to be a stand up person. Do it for a precious soul that is unable to speak for himself ... do it because you would want someone to do it for you ... go directly to the family and help them

11/9/03 Amber Message #1508

11/9/03 Anonymous Message #1505
The only time I ever met you Josh was when I went to an informational meeting about mock trial my freshman year. I remember how you intimidated me so much with your professionalism and smarts! I was unable to join the team, however, and I really wish I could still get a chance to know you. I'm waiting for you to come back so that I can get to know you! You are on the minds and in the prayers of everyone here on campus, including myself. God Bless you Josh and your family. We can't wait for you to come back home to SJU.

11/9/03 Anonymous Message #1503
Well, one day until you have been gone and there is still hope alive. I commend all his friends and family for keeping the search going. I have chosen to remain anonymous for my own reasons, but I do wish you all the best of luck in your mission for justice. I was a close friend for quite a while with Josh. I do hope that you can come home so we can go riding on snowmobiles again.

Dedicated to Joshua Guimond. ... Please pray for justice and resolution in his case. ... ''The truth shall set you free''"

Hey Josh. Wow, it's been almost a year, and I know it hasn't been a fun one for so many who care about you. I saw that at least two of the Twin Cities TV stations had stories about you tonight. This is vital as the many people who care about you Keep Hope Alive.

11/8/03 Marie Hire Message #1500
I am thinking of Josh right now. In just a little while it will have been one year since anyone has last seen him. Please everyone close your eyes and say the deepest prayer ever. One day, hopefully one day soon our family will have every answer needed. We love you Josh, Cousin Marie

11/8/03 Lindsay Benson Message #1499
Hey Josh, I just wanted to let you know that I came home this weekend to help with all the activities. I went to the football game, and saw Greg, Alex, Adam, Katie, and all your friends. They made a huge sign for you that they put on the hill for everyone to see. There were so many people there wearing your ribbons, you would have been so proud! I just wanted to let you know how much everyone misses you, and can't wait until you come home! We love you! Lindsay

11/8/03 Alyssa Message #1498

11/8/03 Deb Message #1497
Josh, like Barb, I visit this site everyday. I too am grateful for the amount of support Lisa and Brian receive from their community..friends and strangers alike. I too hope that those who know the answers to our questions will have the courage to come foward and tell what they know to end this nightmare for Josh's family. Many here in MI pray for your safe return. Love and hope from your MI family. Aunt Deb

11/7/03 Barb Message #1496
It's been a long while since I've written, but I look at the Message Board every day. I'm gratified to see so much continued activity. I know that someone out there, very probably on the St. John's campus, who knows something; that they also read these messages; and some day they will do the right thing. I read the Messenger article and am so very happy that Lisa and Brian are surrounded on a daily basis by so many caring and concerned people. They truly need all the support and love that they can get. I know how much they hurt. I have such profound respect for their ability to get up everyday and do what needs to be done. And for the fact that they are working as hard today as they were last November to find their son. Josh, you have amazing parents and they love and miss you so much. The upcoming weekend will be hard, but hope IS alive and will be until you are back where you belong. I love you! Aunt Barb

11/7/03 Katie Message #1495
Josh...we had a working vigil for you last night. Everyone did such a wonderful job preparing for the weekend of the year anniversary since you disappeared. There are so many people on campus who still care about you and miss you so much. It was comforting to see that. I can't believe it's almost a year since I last saw you. I miss you so much, and there hasn't been a day that I haven't thought about you, missed you, and prayed for your return. I love you, Josh.

11/6/03 Anonymous Message #1494
Thank you so much for sharing that article. Though it was heartbreaking to read, it was encouraging to at least see the community is supporting Josh's family. I am glad to see the students at St. John's are planning a visible memorial for Josh. Somewhere there is a light that burns, in a soul whom we love and miss so; tis for that light our weeping souls yearn, oh Lord, where did Josh go; a year of days has come and gone, and still his face we can't see; Father of Love, please hear our prayers, bring Josh home, this is our plea; only by grace can our faith stay strong, tis Thy hope that keeps hope alive; bring Josh home,we pray, where he belongs, in our hearts his love burns bright ... whoever is reading this, please help, you will never regret it, please do the right thing

"There is a wonder article in the Maple Lake paper about Josh. The website is WWW.maplelakemessenger.com ... Go there and read it, it is great. We love you Josh. ... Marie"

11/5/03 Anonymous Message #1492
Because Josh has gone missing from his college campus, and has been missing for one year, and there have been few "leads," and no progress, there is understandable frustration. I am sure we each have our own opinions about how well St. John's university has handled this matter. I am sorry some have their sensibilities offended when the school is criticized -- but I am much, much more concerned about the plight of this young man. And I believe there is someone with information who is apprehensive about stepping forward. Intimidating posts do not encourage the advancement of truth. The reputation of St. John's University is not my concern, Josh Guimond is -- period. May the truth set him free.

11/4/03 CSB Student Message #1491
I would just like to take this opportunity to say to all of you criticizing the efforts by the campus community (including the monastaries, employees, and students) that you have obviously not been exposed to this campus. While the shock was new and raw there was an aura of pain across campus. In the past year there has been nothing but positive attitudes and support for the efforts taking place. I do not for a second doubt the integrity of anyone associated with this campus and would appreciate it if the accusations made public on this message board would end. You don't need to add to our pain. As the one year anniversary of Josh's disappearance draws near, I pray that all who care about him continue to "Keep Hope Alive". Josh, you are in my thoughts and prayers every day. Josh, we love you and want you to come home!

11/2/03 Anonymous Message #1490
Well, the one year mark since Josh's disappearance is fast approaching. What a year of pain and frustration. A wonderful young man is gone and all you can hear is silence. To anyone who is reading this message and has information about what happened to Josh, I'm pleading with you to come forward...you don't have to go to the police, you can email Josh's family directly -- you can remain anonymous if that is your desire. Your help is desperately needed, you know that. No one will fault you for not stepping up sooner; in fact, you will be a hero for your bravery. I know it's hard, but here it is, a year, and no Josh. Will you help? I am praying for you.

10/31/03 Betty Hydukovich Message #1488
"Josh, family and friends: ... You are in my thoughts every day and you will be long after Josh returns. My son has an incredible friendship with you Josh-- the kind of friendship that is irreplaceable. The fact that nearly one year has passed makes it only harder. The world is missing out on everything you have to offer. Your family and friends need you. I've got a photo of you at my workplace where hundreds of people also work. Every day someone asks about you and tells me they are praying for you. We all hope and pray for your safe return and that you will come back to the love of your family and friends. ... "

10/31/03 Shipyard 2 Message #1487
"Josh, you have been in my thoughts every single day since I first heard you were missing. Not one day goes by that I don't think: ''where is he and what can I do to find him?'' Lisa & Brian, although it may seem like it at times, you are not alone. We love Josh, we have not forgotten Josh, and you are all constantly in our prayers. To all those who visit this sight, please hold Josh in your heart and prayers and help us bring him home to his family. ... Webmaster, Is it possible to print new Missing posters off of this sight? "

Please if the person or persons who knows something and has half a heart----come forward. ... We all miss our cousin, nephew, son, grandson and friend. Only if you could imagine the pain. We love Josh and think of him each day. ... Love, Cousin Marie-Arizona"

10/29/03 Andrew Jones Message #1484
"I know I have yet to write something up here, so I figured I should finally do it. I know that Josh is out there somewhere and will be found and brought home. That is the only comfort I have because I do not know when this will occur. One year is coming up from the date that Josh was taken; and what a difficult and hard year it has been. Many tears have been shed and will continue to be shed until Josh is brought home safely. I only knew him for a year and a half before Nov. 9, but what an impact he made on me. I wish everyone the best in this difficult time coming up and know that you are all in my prayers. Please come home soon Josh! We miss you! ... ~Andrew Jones~ ... Fellow ''Mock''er"

Actually, IMO, the webmaster is right. Consider the fact that the person that did the crime is probably also a frequent visitor of this site. Leaving a tip here could easily let that person(s) know that someone is on to them. And really, it is up to the police to analyze the clues and up to us as good citizens to help them with valid ones that they can act on. A clue left in a public forum is probably not easily acted on especially after it has already tipped of the criminal. Whatever the case, after reading the recent posts, no one is being pushed away, I think that the person in charge is just trying to steer them in the right direction. I’ll end this by doing what this message board seems intended for, showing my support to Joshua, his family, and his friends. Keeping Hope Alive is a fitting title to the web site.

10/21/03 Denise Message #1481
Just out of curiosty, who is in charge of this website? I am no where near where he went missing from but sometimes people who aren't involved pick up on things that people close to the case don't. I don't think it is wise to hinder persons posting to the site as you never know.... I check this site occasionally and I can tell you I have an opinion about "who" could be involved and I know not much about this. Certain things strike me really odd, does it mean anything.. maybe not but I don't think it is wise as I said to push people away. You never know what you can get from outsiders. My prayers are with the family.

10/20/03 Webmaster Message #1480
There are many good reasons to post a message here. It is important to show your support to Joshua’s family and friends. Perhaps Josh has the ability to read the comments now. Showing your support is a great way of letting him know that people are actively looking for him and hoping for his safe return. My other thought is that a bit of anonymous activism can also be a good thing. Perhaps, Mr/Ms Anonymous will stir the conscious of the person with the piece of the puzzle that can put this whole thing to rest. My only goal as the Webmaster for this site is make certain that when that last piece of the puzzle does arrive, it can be put to good use and not hinder the ability of Law Enforcement to do their job. Every tip is important and they can be sent via responsible methods to those that can do something about them. These methods can be found on the Contact Us page.
