Christopher, your point is well taken. The sheriff's dept. chose to adhere to the theory that Josh had accidentally drowned in Stumpf Lake or one of the other lakes on campus. Or that due to his intoxicated state he became disoriented and got lost. Of course none of these theories made a lick of sense to the people closest to Josh. People felt frustated because the sheriff's dept. did not seem interested in considering other possibilities in the beginning. After all the extensive searches though, I think the authorities finally realize Josh did not disappear through any fault of his own. His father always said someone somehow got hold of him...and I think he's right. I hope valuable time wasn't wasted in the early ensuing months of Josh's disappearance by not considering abduction as a real possibility |
