I’ll try as calmly as possible to respond to your post… I must say, it made me a little angry… First of all, it doesn’t have to specifically mention a name. There was enough information there to give a very good indication of an individual. Second Point… Joshua’s family did NOT ask me to create this message board so that people could post speculation, accusations, and all of this conspiracy theory crap. Reality is that Joshua is missing, there is possibly a crime involved. Posting speculation about what happened will NEVER EVER make this end. What will make this end is for someone to do the responsible thing and give enough information to Law Enforcement so that they can act. This message board was created to help show Joshua and his family that people still care and are willing to actually do something other then sit behind an anonymous name and post whatever comes to their mind. I’m a volunteer and have donated a lot of time to create this web site. I don’t personally know Joshua’s parents however I do know other relatives. When they asked me to help them, it seemed the least I could do to show real tangible support. There are so many creative and useful projects that could be done to help show your support, it’s too bad that so much energy is spent on speculation, accusation and theories that don’t help. Third and final point… You are not the one that answers e-mails or other methods of communication from people who HAVE been directly hurt by posts on this message board. I HAVE! Because I seem to be the one that has to do this on occasion, my decision about what stays and goes is final. So final that I don’t have much problem disabling the message board completely if this stuff continues… Before you press the submit button on your next post, ask yourself how this message will show Joshua and his family that people care! If it doesn’t offer that kind of support, close your web browser and go find something else to do! If those 3 points are not enough to coax you into more appropriate posts, remember one fact... Your anonymous posts are not that anonymous to the person with access to the server logs (myself). Next time, take that creative energy you appear to have and hang a few Find Joshua posters around your campus. Be prepaired to stand by your not so anonymous comments!
