BMW: As you know, sodium amytal is a barbiturate -- a sleeping pill. I've personally seen it used with psychiatric patients to help uncover painful memories. During administration of the drug, the patient is in a drowsy, trancelike state -- no good if you need the person to be alert enough to serve as a courier. Also, it's a fast-acting drug that metabolizes rapidly. I can't imagine a courier being administered intravenous drugs at hourly intervals by a handler on an airplane. (It would make more sense to use the handler as your courier.) Are there any "mind control" drugs that do not put the subject to sleep and that do not need to be administered repetitively to have an effect. If you're going to send a person on an international trip, you need a drug that acts for at least 12-24 hours and doesn't make the person look like a zombie.
