Six years ago, on a night much like this one, Joshua Guimond left a card game in an apartment located very close to his dorm. He was never seen again. What happened to him? Some people were interviewed -- but not all. Why not? Anyone and everyone who may have known something about Josh's walk home that night, who knew Joshua in a school/social capacity, should have been spoken to. But they weren't. The sheriff thought Joshua may have accidentally drowned in one of the campus lakes -- but he didn't, because one of the nation's top investigative search & rescue teams, Trident, searched the lakes and found no trace of Joshua. In fact, they went so far as to tell the authorities that they should look elsewhere for Joshua. Dozens of people searched for Joshua on the campus grounds -- but authorities were not given permission to enter all the campus buildings right away. Why not? And, guess what, amongst the multitude of searchers, not one of them sunk in the mud. In fact, in the history of St. John's University, there is no record of anyone ever sinking in the mud at anytime. But there have been other disappearances in the area surrounding the place where Joshua vanished. Six years have passed, and the community in which Joshua excelled as a student has been strangely quiet. Nary a word is mentioned about Joshua in either the local newspapers or the Star Tribune. Why not? Does it not seem odd that a responsible, wise, sharp guy such as Josh disappeared, without a trace, on his college campus? Did anyone delve deeper, search more thoroughly, examine every avenue, interview all potential suspects, identify and verify all alibies -- in other words, in the days immediately following Josh's disappearance, was a complete and exhaustive examination performed to learn why an upstanding, exceedingly intelligent, young man was suddenly gone? Someone reading this right now may know something, or have an idea about who or whom might have been involved. Did you know that you can report tips to the FBI anonymously? Truth is a powerful thing, and telling it is liberating. Justice is a part of the soul of life, and every victim deserves justice. Those who withhold it will reap the darkness they sow. Six years ... that's a long time to make a family wait for answers. Do you know what happened to Joshua that cold Autumn night six years ago today? Do you have an idea, a suspicion? It's time to do the right thing -- for Joshua, for his family and friends, and for yourself ... may God give you the courage to do the right thing.
