Is there a significant issue missing in the entire dialogue about the priest sex scandal? The church, locally and the Vatican, have framed the issue as abuse of "juveniles". I've heard litle or no challenge to this assertion. With hundreds or maybe thousands of offenders, it it not probable that among them is someone who has attempted or succeeded in abducting a Joseph or a Joshua? How many of these folks would be level 2 0r 3 sex offenders, required to register every move they made if they were not being protected because they were "once" a priest?
