'..' I don't think "the proverbial brick wall" is at the sheriff's office. Let's face it, it would be a feather in their cap to solve the Wetterling/Guimond case and will give them a national profile in the law enforcement community. Reading between the lines, this case is essentially solved. However, the burden of proof for successful prosecution is very high in a circumstantial case such as this. So, expect delays as the focus shifts from questioning suspects to collecting evidence and building a watertight case. But successful law enforcement requires everyone's cooperation. A good model is the case of Mark Hacking in Salt Lake City, whose own family did the honorable thing by outing him to police in the murder of his wife Lori.
