I've never been to the St. John's campus -- but I recently spoke with someone who is familiar with the topography of that area -- and this person remarked that much of the area there is wetlands -- and that it would be easy for someone to actually sink in it. My immediate thought about that is -- if that's the case -- how come no one else has ever sunk in those areas before? And if it's that dangerous -- wouldn't students know about that and avoid it? Just struggling, still, to figure out what happened...
