There are wetlands and marshy areas on campus but no quicksand or anything of that nature. There are no areas on campus posted as being dangerous. The only on-campus drowning incident in recent memory involved some off-campus people fishing from a canoe that capsized in the dark. They were non-swimmers and had no life preservers.
