One scenario can be that Josh got to his room and found someone inside, going through his things or stealing money from him and he surprised this person who in a panic hit him and killed him. What happened next could be various ways, he was led out the room and hidden on the area or being taken away from there or it could be that Josh was gay and had planned to meet someone to date, this date went awry and something happened, I hope someday the truth will come out.
