To request the resources of the U.S. Army Reserve's 367th Engineer Battalion, Josh's family could contact Sen. Mark Dayton, who was present at the send-off for the 367th Engineer Battalion in February 2004. They could also work with Rep. Mark Kennedy, Josh's congressman, who happens to be an SJU alum. However, the investigation should not be limited to a mud search. All possibilities should be investigated. The university could ask (or pressure, if necessary) the sheriff to request the help of the FBI, which has the best resources for investigating missing person cases. By law, the FBI cannot assist in the investigation unless invited by local law enforcement agencies. I can't recall a missing person case pursued with less enthusiasm or investigative vigor. It's not like we have a missing set of keys on campus. It's somebody's child we're talking about here. Search for the "needle in the haystack"!
